General
What is SpawnBoost?
A rewarded-campaign platform for game servers. A server owner sets a goal (for example: play 90 minutes and place a Tool Cupboard) and a reward. Real players join, play, and get the reward when they reach the goal. Owners pay only for goals that are done.
Which games are supported?
Rust is live now. More games are coming — DayZ is next on the list. Tell us which one you want on the Games page.
Is this bots or fake players?
No. Every player signs in with their own Steam account and plays on the server. Our connector checks real activity — moving, gathering, building — and AFK time doesn't count. We also check account age and look for alt accounts. We never touch the player count a server reports.
Is it safe to sign in with Steam on SpawnBoost?
Yes. We use Steam's official OpenID sign-in: you type your password on steamcommunity.com, never on our site, and we only receive your SteamID. We then read your public name and avatar from Steam. Always check the address bar shows steamcommunity.com.
Is SpawnBoost legit?
Yes. You sign in on Steam's own page, rewards are funded up front by server owners, every goal is checked by our server-side connector, and payouts go through Stripe to your own bank. Our terms, reward rules and fees are public.
Server owners
Does SpawnBoost change my server's player count?
No. We never touch what your server reports. The players in your server list are real people who joined.
Is this allowed on my server?
SpawnBoost doesn't fake player counts, doesn't give players items or DLC, and doesn't change gameplay. Players are rewarded by SpawnBoost for reaching goals, like any advertising campaign. Each game has its own server rules, so read the ones for your game and decide for your own server.
How does the goal tracking work?
You install a small connector on your server. When a SpawnBoost player joins, it tracks only what the goal needs — for example active playtime or placing a Tool Cupboard — and sends signed reports to us. No screenshots, no manual checks.
What do I pay as a server owner?
The rewards you set plus a service fee of 15% + €0.25 per verified player (minimum €5 per campaign). The €0.25 is charged once per player who completes a goal, also on multi-goal campaigns like Stay the Wipe. You fund the campaign up front, but you only pay for completed goals — the rest goes back to your card automatically when the campaign ends. After your first campaign settles cleanly, its fee (up to €20) comes back as credit on your next one.
Do offers only run on wipe day?
No. Owners choose any date or date range — a new server launch, wipe day, a mid-wipe top-up, quiet weekdays or an event night — with an optional daily time window.
How do I get more people to join my Rust server?
Fix your listing (name, tags, header image, description), list on the server sites players use, run events and keep a Discord. To bring in new players on a date you choose, fund a SpawnBoost campaign and pay only for real players who reach your goal.
Can I run a campaign for my server's launch or an event?
Yes. Pick the dates (and optionally a daily time window) in the campaign wizard. The default Stay the Wipe campaign also works for launches: goals on day 1, day 3 and day 5.
Which players can join my campaign?
Built for new players: returning players we can recognise are flagged in your report now, and excluded automatically once the recent-players check is switched on (after legal review). New or empty servers can always sponsor 10 players; above that, sponsored players are capped at 25% of your server's recent peak, so your regulars stay the majority. Your first campaign is capped at €150 of rewards, released after your payment has cleared.
What if fewer players finish than I paid for?
You get the difference back. Unused spots and rejected rewards are refunded, including our fee on them.
Players
Will I actually get my reward?
Yes, if you reach the goal before the deadline. When you press Start, your spot and its reward are reserved, so the money is already set aside. Connect to the server within 10 minutes to begin. After verification and a fraud check (usually within a few days), the reward is approved and sent to your Stripe account.
Can I get paid to play Rust?
Not as a job — but you can get rewarded. Rust server owners fund rewards on SpawnBoost for new players who reach a goal, like two active hours plus coming back on day three. Rewards are per goal, never per hour, and paid through Stripe (18+).
How is this different from apps that pay you to play mobile games or record gameplay?
Those pay for installs, ad views or recorded hours. SpawnBoost rewards goals on real community PC game servers, chosen and funded by the server owner — per goal, never per hour, with no app to install.
What happens if I leave before I finish?
Nothing bad. Your progress is saved until the deadline, so you can come back. If you don't finish in time, you just don't get that reward. No penalties, no scores.
Why is my reward "pending"?
Every completed goal gets a short check (usually within a few days) for alt accounts, bots and bans. Most rewards are approved automatically when it ends. If yours needs a closer look, we'll show you the date we'll decide by.
Can I use more than one Steam account?
No. One person, one account. Alt accounts, shared payout details and automation lead to rejected rewards and a ban.
Do you need my Steam password?
Never. You sign in on Steam's own page. We only receive your SteamID, name and avatar, and public game details if you've made them public.
Payouts
How do I get my rewards?
Through Stripe, the payment company used by millions of businesses. You set up a free Stripe account in a few minutes. Approved rewards are transferred to your Stripe balance right away — we never hold them. From there you withdraw to your bank from €20, with one free withdrawal a month.
Why do I need to be 18?
Rewards are for adults only. You confirm you're 18 or older before you press Start on an offer, and payouts need an identity check by Stripe, which confirms your age. Anyone can sign in and browse offers.
Which countries can cash out?
The EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, the US and Canada at launch — the countries Stripe lets us pay from Europe. We're working on gift-card rewards for other countries. Approved rewards stay valid for 12 months while you set up payouts.
Trust & safety
How do you stop alt accounts and AFK farming?
Steam accounts must be at least 90 days old, players can hold at most 3 active offers, and we compare hashed IPs and devices between owners and players. AFK minutes never count, and every reward waits through a check before it's approved.
Can an owner refuse to pay a player who finished?
No. Verification is automatic and the money is reserved when you press Start. Owners can report a player, but a report only triggers a review — it never cancels a reward on its own.
