Trust

How we verify every player

Every SpawnBoost reward is checked server-side. Our connector counts only active minutes (moving, gathering, building — never AFK), verifies goal events like a Tool Cupboard still standing 30 minutes later, and every reward waits for fraud checks: Steam account age and bans, shared IPs or devices with the owner, and one identity per payout account.

In-game

What counts as playing

A minute counts as active only when the player is connected and alive, and in that minute:

  • moved more than 3 m on foot (20 m driving a vehicle) or really looked around, and
  • did something in the last 5 minutes — gathered, crafted, built, looted, fought, chatted or used an item, and
  • didn't stand in one 2 m spot for 5 minutes or more.

Passengers, sleepers and the death screen don't count. A player can never collect more active minutes than real minutes.

Goals

Things a normal player does anyway

  • Placed items must still exist later (a Tool Cupboard must stand 30 minutes) — place-and-pickup doesn't count.
  • Gathering counts only from trees and nodes, not boxes, trades or drops; impossible rates are flagged.
  • Crafting counts completed crafts only — never admin-given items.
  • No goals that reward hurting other players, and nothing tied to a server's store.

Anti-fraud

Before any reward is approved

Real Steam accounts

Accounts must be at least 90 days old. VAC and game bans are checked when the hold ends.

One person, one account

Payout identities are verified by Stripe. The same identity on two SteamIDs goes to review.

Owner ≠ player

We compare hashed IP addresses and devices between the server owner and players. Owners can't start offers on their own servers.

No farming

At most 3 active offers per player and one offer per server per wipe.

Behaviour checks

Perfectly periodic inputs and other bot-like patterns are flagged for a human to look at.

A hold before approval

Every completed goal waits for a short check before approval — usually within a few days, longer when the server owner is brand new so their payment can settle. Flagged rewards get a decision within 14 days.

Privacy

What the connector never sends

No raw IP addresses (only keyed hashes for fraud checks), no chat text, no inventories, no exact positions, no hardware IDs, and nothing about players who didn't join through SpawnBoost. Details are in our privacy policy.

Can a server owner refuse to pay?

No. The reward is reserved when you press Start, and verification is automatic. An owner report only triggers a review; it never cancels a reward on its own.

Does the connector change anything on the server?

No. It never changes the player count the server reports, never gives or removes items, never kicks or bans, and can't be told to run commands.

What if I get flagged by mistake?

Your reward shows “Under review” with the date we'll decide by. If it's not approved you'll see the reason category and can open a ticket.
